I apologize again for my lack of posting to the game. Give till this Wendsday to get myself together and I'll resume the game then.

I thought we made the expectation clear. I'm not trying to be a dick, but once every 2.5 weeks?

If you can't keep up with the game, turn it over or just declare it dead. I REALLY like the game, I just am tired of delays of delays. I'm certain someone will happily take it over.

I REALLY like the game, I just am tired of delays of delays. I'm certain someone will happily take it over. I'm not in the game, but it's MY site, so I'll butt in anyways. In case you missed my constant saying it, Real Life issues have priority on the Playground, so cut Brian some slack. If it comes to the point that he feels he can't run HIS game, he will make that decision, not the players that don't want to wait. I suggest showing a little compassion and maybe PM him to see if things are ok on his end. Things come up, we've all had it happen. I'm sure if either one of you had something going on that was more important, the last thing you would want was to come back to people complaining about. So kindly quit it

I see your point, Dakota. In the space that it takes me to post this response, it will cost me about 30 seconds of my life. Now, I also realize a GM most takes 30 to 45 minutes to make rolls, post responses to each character and progress the story.
If this is impossible, or impractical, we would appreciate into an update of expectation. If two-a-week is no good, tell us two weeks when we're not checking every day waiting for something new.
I was prepared to walk away from this game, Dakota. No harm, no foul. I was told that this game was live and active. I took it on Brian's good faith that we would move forward at a reasonable pace.
If you are going to play the MY site card, just to express an expectation of a reasonable pace, after receiving such a reassurance, than maybe this is NOT the site for me. Enjoy YOUR site, and please consider all players withdrawn from YOUR games, including Tori and Forbes.
As I consider Ashes to be Pete's game, even if it is YOUR board, I will continue to play there.
Look, all it takes is about 10 seconds to say, "I'm sick, please give me another fortnight to post." Hell, in my circumstances, I do not know where I will be tomorrow, but I can't firmly commit that I will be healthy or not from day to day.
Or whatever the circumstance. I can understand... But you gotta understand Dakota, this game has had three GM posts in three months. That's not a functioning game.

The reason I said it was my board was simply to state the fact that even though I am not part of the game, I have reason to follow everything on here, it was not to give a sense of high and mighty control. You want that, I can name sites where you can get it. I can understand frustration over the pace, but it was the way you and Farside expressed your feelings that I took as being problematic. Has you expressed yourslves in a more constructive manner, I would have stayed out of it.

Constructively? Can you help me how to pronounce frustration constructively? We've had three GM posts in three months. We've said, post as you can, but we really REALLY want to play. I've sent very supportive messages to Brian on YIM. We've expressed ourselves constructively for the last, honestly six months. We've encouraged, asked other players to post promptly. How can you not expect us to be frustrated now, when all we're asking is 30 seconds to say when to realistically expect a new post? There was a commitment made.
I;ve personally PMed and said, "Hey man, life is real, this is not, but when can I tell people the post is going to be? Take your time but give us an expectation if you can, and talk if you need."
And yeah, I too have been on boards where they were ruled by kings, emperors and bosses. They played the, "It's my board," card all the time.
As we've said before, we love this game, we love this concept, we love the plot so far and above all, we love our characters. As I said last time, after another three week layoff, I am prepared to walk away, with no malice toward Brian, just disappointment we could not see a good game to fruition. I've let games die. I;ve let characters die because they were non starters.
What's more constructive than that? Look at this game history... We've been both constructive and courteous, but enough.

I understand your frustrations now that we've chatted a bit, Tori and have to admit I would be as well and I jumped the gun a bit. I just ask to keep things tactful when posting openly.

You'll have to excuse me if I may not be as coherent as usual. I just finished working about 19 hours straight and came home and only slept about 6 hours.
I thought I was being constructive in the first place. I wasn't trying to be rude or anything, but this seems to be an ongoing problem. I could understand if it was an intermittant problem, but it's not. I do LOVE the game, and would really hate to see it go. But when you consistantly put off GM posts for weeks at a time, and say throughout the time I'll post on BLANK. Sorry didnt make it catch up on BLANK. and then dont make that.
This is an ongoing problem in this game. I don't know what is going on in the GM's life, I hope sincerly it's not bad, but obviously he can't really get on here to run the game. I suggested that he either just kill the game off (not truly constructive, but a solution) or he could turn it over to some one else to run. Heck maybe only temporarily, till life calmed down for him. That IS constructive. Getting players to the point of fustration that they want to quit (we aren't the only ones, just the most vocal). Will just kill the game off.

I'm sorry guys, but I'm going to discontinue running the game. There are some projects coming up that I'm wanting to focus my attention to and our game is going to have to be one of the casualties.
I'm apologize for the short notice and poor quality of my posting of late. If anyone is interested in taking over as GM, you're welcome to do so.
